Means slower than flying – Caught on the Airport

The Caught on the Airport cruise assessment group has been on project on a ship for the previous two weeks making our first transatlantic voyage from Rotterdam, The Netherlands to New York Metropolis.

We’ve been on Holland America Line’s Rotterdam, which is recreating the road’s very first voyage, which happened precisely 150 years in the past.

Nowadays, in fact, flying from Europe to the US is the best way to go. And the journey, by aircraft, is maybe 7 hours. If the flight takes for much longer, modern-day vacationers begin complaining.

On this journey, although, the crossing has taken 7 days.

It’s at all times thrilling to see the view of New York Metropolis when touchdown at New York’s John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport (JFK) or Newark Liberty Worldwide Airport (EWR).

However early this foggy morning, crusing previous the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island is a wholly completely different, and oddly emotional, expertise.
